Mood Board #3 - Caribbean Chic

By Ophellia

Working with a current client on her October 2010 nuptials in Jamaica has inspired me to take a look at the different moods of a destination wedding.  Some couples want the simple ceremony on the beach, sand between the toes wedding under the sun, while other prefer garden settings with gazebos and funky outdoors decor of bleached white wood and shells, while still other love the rugged fierceness of a being on top of a cliff and jumping off after the “i do’s” .  With so much to think about, I began to design a series of mood boards o showcase the most popular scenarios that my clients approach me with, all with the personal twists.  Here is my first and it showcases that Caribbean elegance that my client is after.

Oyster shell salt and pepper dishes by Martha Stewart weddings; candle favour boxes by PartyLite; invitations by Pulp & Pearl; wedding dress is Blush Collection by Jim Heljm; of course Christian Louboutin shoes in  multiples; ceremony site set up and wedding bouquet from a website on tropical weddings which I lost before I noted it (please feel free to send me a note if you recognize the images so that I can credit the site!)

Bridal tip
On your wedding day, while getting your make-up and hair done, wear a button down shirt instead of a t-shirt. This will ensure that you can remove the shirt to get dressed without smudging your make-up or ruining your hairdo trying to get anything over your head. "Borrow" something from "hubby's" clothes hamper so that you have him close at hand while you are getting ready!
